How do you conduct the coaching sessions?

The coaching sessions are usually done via Skype. However, it can also be over the phone, if you prefer. I prefer Skype, as I coach people from all around the world, but if you are super uncomfortable with Skype for some reason, we can talk over the phone.

What is the coach’s responsibility?

I will listen closely to you, respond to what I hear and ask questions. If I hear something in your voice or language that sparks an intuitive thought, I’m likely to ask you about it. Often, it is the small moments that bring about BIG shifts. If I’m not on target, just tell me. I’m not attached to being right.

In every conversation we have, I will act with integrity, honesty and sincerity. I will remove distractions so I can be fully present with you. I will provide you with support, encouragement and a safe space to take risks. All communication is confidential.

At the end of the session, if you do not mention what actions you are ready to take, I will make a coach request. I ask clients to stretch themselves, deepen the work done in the sessions by writing, taking some action, resolving relationships or things that feel incomplete. You are free to negotiate, accept or decline.

What is my responsibility as the client?

You should be ready for new possibilities and ways of seeing yourself and those around you.

– Please take time before each session to complete and email the Session Prep Questions I will provide to you by email. The most crucial part is for you to name what you’d like to take away from the session.

– Please arrive to every session on time.

– Come to your session centered and ready to engage. Keep your commitments and be fully present for each session.

– Give me feedback in the moment about your coaching experience — what works, as well as what does not.

– Come to the sessions with curiosity, openness and a willingness to be honest with yourself and with me.

– You should be the one to determine your goals and priorities, define success for yourself.

How do I know you’re a good coach?

The best way is to just take the free starting session. I offer one session for free in the beginning, so that you can try how coaching with me feels, and see if it feels like a good fit for you.

What kind of time commitment can I expect?

Each and every person is unique. While for one even a single session could work (even though this is a rare case), for someone else it might take a year before they really achieve what they want. It highly depends on the goals you have set for the coaching and on your unique personality. 4-12 weeks of coaching work perfectly for most clients, but again I cannot tell without talking to you first.  On our first session, I will give you an estimation on how many sessions I think would be necessary, but it is also not always possible to tell after one session only.

How is coaching different from therapy or counseling?

Therapy and counseling are more like a treatment, based on the medical model. Therapy and counseling focus more on your past, looking for the reasons you got where you are now. Coaching looks more to the future and how to get you to where you want to be. Coaches are not necessarily doctors and often don’t have medical education. (Notice that I don’t have such myself.)

What kinds of coaching packages do you offer, and how much do they cost?

The price of a single session is $200. If you order a package of 4 or 12 sessions, the price goes down to $180 and $160 per session accordingly. In case you want to purchase a different number of sessions, you can contact me for a custom offer.
